Let’s talk politics y’all!🗣️

📣 District 2 & District 4 School Board Seats Are Open

If you’ve ever said “things need to change” when it comes to our schools, this is one of those moments where engagement really matters.

Two seats on the Henry County Schools Board of Education are open in District 2 and District 4.

Here’s what many people don’t realize 👀👇🏾

These are paid, elected positions that directly influence policy, priorities, and outcomes for students and educators.

💼 Board of Education Compensation
• Annual salary: $21,796
• Qualifying fee (3%): $653.88

School board members help shape decisions around:
• classroom resources
• teacher support and retention
• student outcomes
• family trust and accountability

Here’s the bottom line:

If things are great, support the candidates doing the work.
If things need to improve, step up or encourage someone who will.

Either way, progress doesn’t happen by sitting on the sidelines. And my grandmother always said, people only complain about things they can change. So, stop complaining and be the change.

Support candidates, step up if called and above all, remember to VOTE.
