Where Do We Go From Here? Choosing Community in an Age of Chaos

I purchased this book years ago at a used library book sale, and I still come back to it often.

Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community? was written by Martin Luther King Jr. in 1967, toward the end of his life, when he was asking a hard but necessary question of America.

The Civil Rights Movement, led by American descendants of slavery, transformed laws, opened doors, and helped build stronger Black communities across this country. Many of us are living the results of that work today.

Progress happened because people showed up, organized, and believed in community over chaos.

We’ve come far.

Let’s keep building a better McDonough, together. 🇺🇸🌺
