Join Us: McDonough & Henry County Advocacy Day at the Georgia Capitol in February
McDonough & Henry County: Who Wants to Join Me for an Advocacy Day at the Georgia State Capitol in February?
I’m planning a City of McDonough Advocacy Day at the Capitol, and I would like to invite you to join me!
If you’ve never been to the Starw Capitol, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved, learn how our state government works, and see the legislative process up close. I attended about 90% of the legislative session last year, sat in on committee meetings, and learned so much about how decisions are made that impact all of us here in Henry County.
Advocacy Days are a wonderful way to:
• Connect with our elected leaders
• Learn who represents you (and I’m happy to share that information, just like I do in Citizens 101!)
• See committees in action
• Represent McDonough and Henry County with pride
• Build relationships and stay informed
If you’re a McDonough resident or you live anywhere in Henry County, you’re invited. You do not need to live inside the city limits to participate. This is all about civic engagement and community connection.
🚗 What the Day Will Look Like
• We’ll carpool early in the morning
• Spend the day at the Capitol
• Attend committee meetings and floor sessions
• Head back home after lunch
📩 Want to Join Us? Here’s how! The date and time will be released once it’s been approved and finalized.
✔️ If you’re already signed up for Citizens for McDonough, you’re good, I’ll email you the date once I have it.
✔️ If not, please sign up at http://CitizensForMcDonough.com so I can add you to the list.
Let’s see how many residents we can gather to proudly represent our city and county under the Gold Dome!
Lets keep building a better McDonough, together. 🌺
