Smiles, Stories, and Votes: The Thrill of Meeting Voters on McDonough Square

This weekend on McDonough Square was full of smiles, stories, and even a few scares! đŸ‘»

One woman ran up to me and said, “I just voted for you!” Her excitement made my whole day. I met families who’ve called McDonough home for generations and new residents just finding their place here, plus one who recognized me from my “News You Can Use in 60 Seconds or Less” updates on TikTok! 💡

That scary scarecrow behind me? 🎃 It’s part of the Halloween display by local business owner Brian Blakefield, a proud supporter! I love how our community finds creative ways to bring people together even through a little Halloween fun.

Campaigning isn’t about politics; it’s about people. It’s about listening, learning, and sharing a vision for a stronger McDonough; one where everyone feels welcome and thrives: longtime residents, new neighbors, seniors, veterans, youth, homeowners and renters, and small business owners alike.

Thank you, McDonough, for believing in me because I believe in us.

Let’s keep building a better McDonough, together. đŸŒș
