McDonough Matters: Campaigning from Afar to Boost Voter Participation

Greetings from Jacksonville, Florida! 🌴

Even while visiting my daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter and soon-to-arrive grandson (due in December!) and old church family, I’m still on the campaign trail because McDonough matters to me. 🇺🇸

Did you know that in McDonough’s 2021 municipal election, only 2,580 out of 18,796 registered voters cast a ballot? That’s just 14% turnout.

In a city election, every single vote carries more weight because fewer people participate. Your voice truly has power and one vote can shape the future of our city.

We shouldn’t have more people in church on Sunday than we have showing up at the polls. 👀 Let’s change that.

I’m asking for your vote for McDonough City Council At-Large so we can build a better McDonough, together. 99% of the people I meet don’t know who their council members who represent them are. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Let’s change that too.

📍 Early Voting: October 14–31
📍 Election Day: November 4

Let’s build a better McDonough, together. 🌺
