What Does “Non-Partisan” Mean in Local Government?

Here in McDonough, our local government seats—including Mayor and City Council—are non-partisan. That means:

  • You won’t see party affiliations on the ballot.

  • Candidates are chosen based on values, leadership, and commitment to the community, not party lines.

  • It’s about local solutions, not national politics.

As a candidate for McDonough City Council At-Large, I’m running to represent everyone in our city—no matter your background, beliefs, or political affiliation.

That’s why I show up everywhere—from Democratic and Republican meetings to the basketball courts, neighborhood forums, and even the grocery store. Because leadership starts with listening.

If I’m going to be a voice for the people, I have to meet people where they are—not just during campaign season, but all year round.

Let’s build a better McDonough, together.
