The Business Owner’s Guide to Local Government
When I moved to Henry County in 2022, I made a decision to get involved right away.
I joined the Chamber of Commerce, signed up for a local gym, and started attending county and city meetings. I wanted to understand how our community works and where opportunities exist.
Over time, I’ve learned so much about local government and the important role it plays in supporting our local economy. There are incredible opportunities available for businesses that understand how to engage with their local government.
Today I’m participating in Leadership Henry, which continues to provide a deeper look into the people, programs, and facilities that serve our community.
This month, I’ll also be hosting a Local Government 101 session specifically for business owners, designed to help them better understand how local government operates and how to get connected.
Being in the room and staying informed makes all the difference.
